Habito is a mortgage broker and lender.

I worked in the brokerage side of the business, concretely in affordability checks. As part of my work I created a microservice that integrates with a 3rd party API to do those checks. Most of the difficulty was related to dealing with a complex Haskell monolith and mapping a non ideal mortgage application domain model to the external service model. The technology stack used was Haskell - PostgreSQL and we used event sourcing as a de facto way of create new services.

In the non-technical side of the job, I had to communicate with different sides of the business to understand different pieces of the domain and our 3rd party provider to collaborate to create an API that suit our needs.

Codurance was for me a completely change in my career and the place where I developed my skills in terms of testing and software design. Since I joined codurance I delivered an AWS EC2/ECS/ALBs/Alarming/Scaling training course for Mango in Barcelona. 
    • I worked as a frontend dev in M&S helping with them with its digital transformation
    • I worked in Acuris in its product debtwire.com as a full stack developer. We were using React + JS/TS in the frontend and we had to maintain some services in GoLang and NodeJs.

Since I joined Novoda I worked at Channel 4. It was a really challenging project because we had to work on the video playback APIs. Also we had a huge legacy codebase to maintain where we had some UI views with more than 2000 lines. The culture of the team was really into the craftsmanship community so we enjoyed some of the XP techniques as pair programming and scrum.

I’m currently working at IG Index as Android developer developing the main IG stock trading app which allows you to trade in real time.

I worked at Moni as Android developer, my primary aim was refactor some parts of legacy code in the app, fix bugs and try to create a solid base of unit tests on the refactored code. I also re-implemented some UI components and adopted material design.

I worked at Selltag as the lead Android developer. I also help the iOS team to implement a clean architecture similar to VIPER. I learned to apply Kanban methodology in my work and organize my tasks efficiently. The crash free users of this app was about 99,7% before leaving and we were releasing version each 1-2 weeks.
