Christian Berry

Traverse City resident Christian Berry is a dynamic individual with a diverse set of skills and experiences. He obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Management & Strategic Leadership from Ohio University and was part of the Global Consulting Program in Greece. Berry has worked as an AmeriCorps VISTA for Habitat for Humanity Grand Traverse Region and the Home Builder's Association of the Grand Traverse Area, where he focused on providing opportunities for housing and employment in Northwest Michigan. In addition to this, Berry also works at Horizon Books as a bookseller, janitor, and barista. Berry’s passion for preserving the environment has led him to serve as a Natural Resources Specialist at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources in the past. In his free time, Berry enjoys backpacking, reading, and practicing wildlife and landscape photography. He hopes to continue working to make his community more equitable and sustainable for future generations even after his year of service as a VISTA ends in August 2021.
