Christiaan Brand is a prominent figure in the field of cyber security. He holds a Master's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, both from Stellenbosch University. He co-founded Entersekt, a company that specializes in financial services security, and later went on to join Google as part of their Security and Identity teams, where he serves as a Product Manager.

Brand is a respected expert in cyber-crime, and an active member of the FIDO alliance, a group that standardizes strong online security protocols. He is active in the community, regularly publishing articles on cyber crime and cyber security. In the past, he has held positions such as FIDO Technical Working Group co-chair at FIDO Alliance, Chief Technology Officer and Board of Directors at ENTERSEKT, and Lecturer and Project Engineer and Consultant at Stellenbosch University.
