This was a fun challenge where I worked hand-in-hand with the CEO to understand the organization’s vision and then turn the insights into a strategic transformation roadmap, which resulted in dramatic improvements across all areas. 

As such, I instilled a vibrant culture, which fostered a collaborative, unified approach to achieving a clear set of goals, substantially improving engagement across all staff. 

In addition, I redesigned their funding and client onboarding/retention strategies, reducing their client onboarding backlog by over 80% to increase their revenue and cash flow.

Regional Director – Asset Management, 2011 – 2017 

Culminating my dynamic career with Goldman Sachs & Co., I transitioned into Asset Management and became a key revenue leader.  This being my first time not focused solely on commercial banking, I quickly secured my Series 7 and 63 licenses. I embraced the challenge of driving strong revenue growth utilizing investment and non-investment solutions. 

Right out of the gate, I assumed full ownership of a select book of clients and prospects representing $22B in combined wealth within the money market funds business. I continually analyzed the account portfolio and designed/executed growth strategies to increase value for long- and short-term assets. Within four years, I  grew long-term assets by over 3,100% ($225M to $8.1B), with short-term assets increasing by 85% to $55B+.

In addition to my primary role of raising assets under management, I championed diversity & inclusion as the Chair of the Division’s LGBT Network and Co-Chair for the firm-wide LGBT Steering Committee, as I continued to improve our culture to empower the success of our diverse workforce.

In my first role with the company, I was recruited to be on the ground floor of the fledgling banking unit and lead the design, launch, and rapid growth of GS Bank USA’s first institutional businesses.

Working in concert with top leaders, I built and maximized the performance of a 50-member team. I also spearheaded the development of best-in-class banking infrastructure to service assets and transactions for partner institutions and high-net-worth clients while expanding our payment capabilities. As a strategic business partner, I was able to secure full buy-in for the business plan and operationalize the full infrastructure in just five months, which included putting in place all technologies, sales processes, client onboarding/management processes, risk & compliance management controls, hiring practices, and components.

Hard on the heels of the infrastructure go-live, I successfully launched the first institutional product suite three months later with a dynamic growth strategy that brought in $22B+ in client deposits within another six months.

Business Unit Leader - Goldman Sachs Bank USA. 2009 - 2011

After initially being promoted to grow a $210M portfolio for the Treasury Services business line, my success led to me being promoted again to drive impressive growth for the $820M corporate trust business line. From 2007 to 2009, I achieved 25.5% YoY growth by bringing in over $84.7M in new business, even in the face of the significant global economic crisis, an 80% reduction in debt issuance, and a 90% drop in merger & acquisition deals.
