Chris Starling is the Executive Director of NPower SkillBridge, a program focused on creating pathways to economic prosperity for military veterans and young adults from underserved communities. He has a distinguished background, having retired as a Colonel from the United States Marine Corps after 26 years of service, during which he completed ten overseas deployments, including three combat tours.13
In his military career, Starling held various leadership roles, such as commanding the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marines and serving as the senior U.S. Military Advisor to the Emirati Presidential Guard. His post-retirement efforts have been dedicated to supporting the veteran community through initiatives aimed at launching digital careers.1
Starling holds a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages from the Virginia Military Institute and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the City University of New York. Additionally, he was a Hoover Fellow at Stanford University, where he focused on China's influence in Africa.1
