Chris Shoff is a Partner in the Tech Group at Goodwin Procter, a global law firm specializing in high growth companies. Based in Southern California, he offers strategic counsel to start-up and growth stage companies, founders, operators, and investors across various locations including Los Angeles, Utah, San Diego, and Silicon Valley. His expertise covers the full corporate life cycle from formation to exit, assisting clients with early-stage company formation, seed and venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, employment matters, equity incentives, securities law compliance, license agreements, and corporate governance.

Chris has a strong educational background with a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.S. in Economics from Weber State University. He brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at various prestigious law firms including Goodwin, Latham & Watkins, Cooley LLP, DLA Piper, and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Chris not only practices law but also shares his knowledge by speaking at events and teaching a class on Venture Capital and Emerging Companies at USC Law School. Outside of work, he dedicates time to volunteer work in his community, church, and cherishes moments with his family.
