Chris Sheridan

Chris Sheridan is a seasoned sports journalist, recognized for his extensive coverage of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and international basketball. Born on May 14, 1965, he graduated from Marquette University with a degree in journalism. Throughout his career, Sheridan has held significant roles at major media outlets, including the Associated Press and ESPN, where he was notably the first journalist to report LeBron James's return to the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2014 free agency period.12

Currently, Sheridan serves as a Senior Sports Columnist at BasketballNews.com, a position he has held since September 2020. His work encompasses both traditional sports journalism and sports gambling journalism, particularly following the legalization of sports betting in the United States after the repeal of PASPA in 2018.
