Chris Poole is the Chief Executive Officer of JAMS, Inc., the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide. He has held this position since December 2007 and has been instrumental in leading the organization through significant growth and elevating the ADR industry as a whole. Under his leadership, JAMS has expanded its operations, which now include over 25 resolution centers across the United States and Canada.123
Poole's background includes extensive experience in the legal and legal technology sectors. Before joining JAMS, he served as CEO of Thomson Elite, where he helped the company achieve a dominant market position in legal software solutions. He also held executive roles at Latham & Watkins LLP, managing various aspects of the firm's operations and technology.123
In addition to his executive role, Poole is the president of the JAMS Foundation, which has contributed over $12 million to various conflict prevention and dispute resolution initiatives globally. His contributions to the legal community have been recognized with several awards, including the 2023 Mattie Belle Davis Award from the National Association of Women Judges for his commitment to advancing women in the judiciary.24
Poole holds a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA. He resides in Southern California with his family.12
