Chris is Founder and CEO  of Stonehenge Investment Partners, a global investment management and advisory firm. Stonehenge provides the following services to its global clients: 

•	Strategic advice and investment management services to family offices and their businesses on global investments and structuring, real estate, private banking, and trust & estate matters to ensure that corporate management and succession are professional. Stonehenge acts as a fiduciary to such family offices to ensure their best interests are Stonehenge’s only priority.

•	Global investment management services in corporate private equity and real estate working with privately held companies, family offices and sovereign funds in Asia and the Unites States. Stonehenge works with and identifies specific corporate and real estate opportunities for clients, develops a strategy with the client, and executes and manages specific projects as a fiduciary to the client.

•	Global restructuring advice to family offices and companies they control, and to other corporates in Asia and the Americas to maximize performance and value on their behalf. Stonehenge surgically identifies and solves problems to ensure a successful restructuring and path forward.

Chris is Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Peninsula Real Estate Capital Advisors (“PRECA”) a private equity investment management firm that has acquired real estate related assets, debt and corporate entities in the United States and Japan, and provides advisory services in the Middle East. 

During the past three years, PRECA has acquired properties and distressed debt in the United States and Japan as principals and for separate accounts based in the United States, Japan and Greater China. 

PRECA has also provided management consulting, structuring and asset management services to numerous global clients.

Chris built and led New City’s businesses in China and Korea with over fifty team members and worked closely with New City’s Tokyo office on numerous strategic projects.The China and Korea offices consummated nearly US$ 550 million in acquisitions in just one year for the Asia Opportunity Fund and other investment partners. Chris' strong legal and institutional background added credibility and strength to New City’s strategic development. From April 2008, Chris was effectively New City's COO and led the restructuring of New City’s business lines during the liquidity crisis culminating in the transfer of the sponsorship of the AOF to ING Real Estate.

Chris led Starwood Capital’s acquisition of and investment in real estate assets and corporate M&A opportunities relating to real estate throughout Asia and the management of such assets. Given his strong legal background in Asia,Chris worked closely with Starwood Capital’s in house counsel and outside lawyers to close transactions in Asia. He sourced and managed a number of investments for Starwood Capital in Asia, including the JPY 51 billion (US$ 500 million) acquisition and asset management of the Westin Hotel in Tokyo in partnership with Morgan Stanley Real Estate and a US$ 96 million investment in Prosper Center in the Beijing CBD in partnership with CDIB Asia Capital. The Westin Hotel was sold to GIC in February 2008 for approximately JPY 77 billion.  He was also responsible for Starwood Capital’s partnership with Nomura Real Estate Management through the 24 billion yen (US$ 225 million) Japan Opportunity Fund and its partnerships in China with the CDIB Asia Capital and Kai Long REI.

Chris practiced principally in the areas of corporate finance, private equity, distressed real estate acquisitions and financing, capital market transactions (debt and equity financings), buyout financing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring in Japan, and securitization. Chris opened Dorsey's Tokyo office and managed its growth to nearly twenty-five U.S. and Japanese lawyers.
He advised U.S. and European investors in the acquisition or restructuring of Japanese companies and distressed real estate assets including non-performing loans and commercial real estate for office, hotel and retail asset classes.   Chris advised Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. in its investment in The Seiyu, Ltd., GMAC Commercial Mortgage Co. in its acquisition of Japan Leasing Corporation real estate assets in bankruptcy, and W. L. Ross & Co. in its Kofuku (Kansai Sawayaka) Bank and Tokyo Sowa Bank transactions. Prior to joining Starwood Capital, Chris was its outside counsel on various transactions in Japan.
