A passion project of mine where I've learned to wear a lot of hats:

▪ Designed and developed a 3D MMO-lite in Unity from scratch, encompassing:
    ▪ Full game implementation, project management, build creation and deployment
    ▪ Third-party integrations (Steam, Backend-as-a-Service)
    ▪ Ability-based third-person combat system
    ▪ Gameplay systems, social systems, user interface, networking (Mirror), ai, and tools
▪ Closely collaborated and co-developed with a game designer

Engineer, Founder

Shipped New World and New World: Brimstone Sands

▪ Designed and developed the second version of loading screens which improves the overall player experience by showing destination-based images and tips to players. Built pool system and data framework for UX designers to add images and tips, tip tracking system that influences random image and tip selection, and testbed to simulate destination loading
▪ Designed and developed the frontend system for PvP Arenas’ hud interface. Built testbed to simulate backend logic and gameplay states without the need of a server for faster development iteration cycles
▪ Decreased loading time of inventory’s user interface by 90% using RAD Telemetry to identify problem areas. Made improvements to loading logic and caching that led to significant performance improvements

UX / Social Systems Engineer (Contract)

▪ Developer on Transportation and Vendor Data Exchange team, working primarily on shipment and fulfillment center-related projects.
▪ Used Java, Jenkins, and RabbitMQ to cross-reference, aggregate, and transfer data. Resulted in increases in efficiency at fulfillment centers by eliminating manual processes and providing real-time tracking.
▪ Led initial effort to migrate internal applications from Rackspace to AWS. Conducted extensive research on Kubernetes and utilized findings to develop good practices.

Software Engineer II

▪ Developer in Lumberyard within Game Services under AWS.
▪ Wrote canary framework for internal service using C++ to alert team upon service failure and collected metrics to provide awareness of service performance and inform improvements.
▪ Worked closely with New World game engineers, familiarizing them with internal service and assisting with game features in C++.
▪ Ran weekly playtests and ops meetings across teams.

Software Development Engineer

Analyze requirements for projects requested by various engineering departments. Design, develop, and/or maintain in-house software solutions. Write documentation for developed solutions. Accomplishments:

▪ Solely written an application launcher in C# using Windows Forms to launch PTC software (Pro/Intralink, Pro/Engineer). Functionality includes: event logging, system information gathering, environment configuration, saving/loading configuration files, file and directory cleanup, patch system, saving/restoring backups, network drive mapping, parallel synchronization between network and local drives, local installation capability for PTC software, and launching software via command line.
▪ Developed front-end and back-end pieces for web-based solutions. Worked with technologies such as Java, JavaScript, JSF, PrimeFaces, HTML, PHP, CSS, JDBC, Hibernate, and MySQL. Solutions include: a multi-stage compressor product configurator, an invoice management system, and standalone pages that send/receive data with an engineering change system.
▪ Used various APIs written in either C#, Java, or VBA to provide additional functionality to end-users and/or for one-offs. Applications include: PTC Pro/Engineer, PTC Pro/Intralink, Autodesk Actrix, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.

Led a diversified team in an agile environment, focusing on short iteration lifecycles for a hobby project. Design project milestones and deliverables. Develop code for all areas of the game. Administrate software development and collaboration tools used. Handle all business-related responsibilities.
