Chris Meyers

Chris Meyers is a highly experienced professional in the electric utility industry with a diverse background in distribution system engineering, key account sales and marketing, distribution operations, corporate shared services, and legislative/government relations.

Throughout his career, Chris has excelled in managing key accounts, focusing on technical service reliability and relationship building. He has successfully garnered customer support for company regulatory initiatives and served as a customer advocate within the organization. Chris is credited with creating special tariffs tailored for large industrial customers with unique energy needs and situations, and has testified on their merits before Administrative Law Judges.

Chris Meyers has also overseen a program facilitating gas-to-electricity trading with large industrial consumers, in addition to managing and promoting various Demand Side Management tariffs. As a leader in district field operations, he effectively managed a team of over 200 employees and maintained relationships with external stakeholders such as electrical contractors and energy user groups.

In his role liaising with legislators, governors' offices, and tax commissions, Chris has analyzed and evaluated legislative impacts on company operations and financial status. He has adeptly communicated and advocated the company's stance on renewable energy sources, renewable portfolio standards, and infrastructure reinvestment.

Chris Meyers holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University and pursued an MBA in Business from the University of Oklahoma. He has held various key positions at OGE Energy Corp, including State Government Affairs, Director of Shared Services, Leader in Daily Operations and Energy Services, Manager of Major Accounts, and roles as an Industrial Marketing Engineer, Power Sales Engineer, and Distribution Engineer.

Currently serving as the Executive Vice President & CEO at the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives, Chris Meyers brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to the electric utility sector.
