Chris McDonald is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in law, politics, and communications. He has a Juris Doctor degree from Washington and Lee University and a bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Political Science from Vanderbilt University. He also attended the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership and is a graduate of Memphis University School.
Chris has extensive experience in government relations, having served as the Director of Government Relations at Williams Mullen and the Virginia Association of Counties. He has also been a Special Advisor for Energy Policy at the Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals, and Energy. Additionally, Chris has worked as an independent consultant, providing communications, policy, research, and campaign consulting services.
Prior to his work in government relations, Chris served as a Senior Policy Aide and Voter Protection/Legal Representative for Terry McAuliffe's gubernatorial campaign. He was also a Virginia Fellow and Deputy Field Organizer for Obama for America. Furthermore, Chris was a Judicial Intern at the US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee and a Legislative Intern for Office of Congressman Steve Cohen.
Chris also has experience in journalism, having served as the Director and Editor of InsideVandy.com. He is a versatile professional with a wealth of skills in various fields and industries.
