Chris Lindner

Chris Lindner is a seasoned Data Scientist and Data Science Manager currently serving as a Product Science Manager at Indeed. With a background in computational astrophysics and vast experience in leading R&D efforts for data science applications, Chris has a strong foundation in managing data science product research and development teams.

During his tenure at Civitas Learning, Chris played a pivotal role in spearheading the development of Illume Courses product, which was featured in the New York Times. He also managed the redesign of Illume Students product, showcasing his expertise in product innovation and development.

Chris has a wealth of experience in working with production machine learning models to ensure data quality and model accuracy. Proficient in Python and SQL, he focuses on building functional product prototypes, coordinating with user testing and education teams, and collaborating with product and UX teams to bring ideas to fruition quickly.

With a strong academic background, Chris holds a Ph.D. in Astronomy and has conducted large-scale simulations of astronomical phenomena, analyzed extensive datasets, optimized algorithms for parallel and serial processing, and executed simulations across distributed processors. He is skilled in languages like C, C++, Fortran 90, Python, and IDL.

Having completed coursework in a variety of programming languages and data science topics, including C, C++, Java, Python, Fortran, IDL, ML, Assembly, Mathematica, LabVIEW, and MATLAB, Chris has a well-rounded educational foundation. He has also undertaken Data Science and Machine Learning coursework on Coursera, gaining hands-on experience in SQL and Pandas.

In addition to his current role at Indeed and previous position at Civitas Learning, Chris has held roles such as MCAT Physics Instructor at The Princeton Review, Fellowship Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, Senior eCommerce Systems Analyst at Compusult, and Senior Repair Technician and Department Manager at Best Buy Geek Squad.
