Chris Kelley

Chris Kelley is the Managing Partner at Shipyard Cascade Capital, a privately-held investment firm focused on managing a portfolio of direct investments and partnerships with leading investment managers. He is actively involved in organizing the Cloud City Meetup, which connects technology leaders within the Seattle community.

With a keen interest in tech-driven solutions to real-world challenges and a passion for working alongside high-conviction investment managers, Chris has had the privilege of partnering with visionary individuals responsible for creating groundbreaking technology platforms like Palantir, innovative tools such as Polarr, and pioneering endeavors like Skybox Imaging. Additionally, he has experience collaborating with and investing in bootstrapped, profitable businesses.

Before his current role, Chris served as a Partner at Threshold (formerly known as DFJ Venture), a renowned venture capital firm on Sand Hill Road. Prior to his venture capital career, he assumed the position of CEO at a machine learning company in Seattle, offering invaluable insights into the burgeoning enterprise technology landscape in the Pacific Northwest.

Chris pursued his education at Stanford University Graduate School Of Business, obtaining a Master of Business Administration, and at the University Of Colorado Boulder, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering. His diverse background and experiences underscore his proficiency in navigating the intersection of technology, investments, and entrepreneurship.
