Christopher Hornor is a seasoned entrepreneur and a trailblazer in the renewable energy industry. He first gained recognition for his innovative solutions in the technology startup scene, helping companies in the US, UK, and Japan discover new revenue streams through internet applications. Later, Christopher founded Better Energy Systems in 2001, carving a new category of small-scale solar energy solutions with its flagship product, Solio. With Solio's award-winning design and usability, Christopher made solar power accessible to millions globally, establishing strategic partnerships with industry giants such as Apple, Google, and Vodafone. His most recent venture is the CEO and founder of Powerhive, which develops and manages micro-grids in emerging markets to bring affordable and reliable energy to rural communities. Christopher is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara and lives in Berkeley with his wife and kids.
