I am Secretary of this national charity. We support lay ministers in the Church of England and the Church in Wales, and publish "Transforming Ministry" magazine.

Church of England - I am a Reader in the Towcester group of churches. I carry out all aspects of Reader ministry, taking funerals and Sunday services, and supporting the clergy.

As Head of Corporate Tax, I was responsible for the Group’s worldwide corporate tax and VAT position, reporting to the Chief Finance Officer. I was a member of the finance leadership team and represented the tax department at Board and Audit Committee meetings. I drafted the Group’s tax policies, prepared tax forecasts, signed all worldwide tax returns and managed the Group’s global tax risks. 

In 2015 a private equity group acquired a stake in the company. I worked with the buyers and advisers to agree a tax strategy for their acquisition. 

In 2008 I worked with HM Revenue and Customs on a pilot programme to allow groups to fast-track negotiations and bring their tax affairs up to date.  As a result of this work, PA achieved low-tax status.

I was part of the UK finance leadership, reporting to the European Chief Finance Officer. I was also responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance in the Global tax team, ensuring the bank’s processes followed these US governance laws.
