Chris Gilks

Chris Gilks is an experienced Avionics Design Engineer with a strong background in the aviation industry. He has been actively involved in leading engineering teams on various avionics modification programs for both commercial and military aircraft. Currently, he holds the professional title of Avionics/Electrical Certification Verification Engineer.

Chris is based in Rugby, UK, and has a fulfilling personal life being married with 2 young children. He is a dedicated professional with a passion for aircraft design and innovation.

He completed his education with a BEng(Hons) degree in Aerospace Systems from Coventry University, which laid the foundation for his successful career in aviation engineering.

Chris has held key roles in reputable organizations within the aerospace sector. He has served as the Chief Designer at Tenencia Aerospace Design, leading engineering projects and ensuring the successful delivery of avionics systems. Previously, he was the Lead Engineer - Avionics at Tenencia Aerospace Design, where he demonstrated his expertise in avionics engineering.

Before his time at Tenencia Aerospace Design, Chris gained valuable experience as an Avionics Design Engineer at Marshall Aerospace. His contributions were instrumental in the development of avionics systems for various aircraft. He also kickstarted his career as an Industrial Placement Student (Avionics) at Marshall Aerospace, which provided him with hands-on experience in the field.
