Chris Freund is a successful private equity investor and entrepreneur who has made significant contributions to Vietnam's business landscape since the early 2000s. After studying psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Chris ventured to Vietnam and co-founded Navigos Group, a leading recruitment services company. He later founded Mekong Capital, the first private equity firm dedicated to Vietnam, with a focus on consumer-driven businesses. With an extensive team on the ground, Mekong Capital has invested in over 35 companies, including some of Vietnam's fastest-growing consumer brands. Beyond his entrepreneurial work, Chris is a Chairman of Pasteur Street Brewing Company, respected craft brewery and one of Vietnam's top 10 Beer brands. He is also an alum of the landmark forum, which he credits with teaching him the ontological approach to investing that has driven Mekong Capital's success.
