Chris Fortier, a former Head of Public Cloud Engineering at Two Sigma and current Engineering Manager at Datadog, is an accomplished software engineer and cloud computing expert. With a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida and a Master of Liberal Arts in Information Management from Harvard University, Fortier has a well-rounded education that has prepared him for leading teams of engineers and developing top-notch cloud-based systems.

Fortier is responsible for leading a team of five software engineers and directing the company's overall strategic direction for companywide adoption of Public Cloud. He's also leading the shift towards a dual-cloud strategy, utilizing both Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services for cost-effective compute usage for market simulations.

Aside from his extensive software engineering expertise, Fortier has experience in marketing and research analysis, having worked for Hess Corporation and The Walt Disney Company. He continues to partner with Cloud Security, Data Engineering, and Modeling teams to enable sensitive research using native cloud technologies.
