Chris Dyl is a highly skilled technologist with almost 20 years of experience creating and managing massively multiplayer online worlds and the technology platforms that support them. He's one of the founding members of Turbine, where he led the development of the company's technology platform, including its MMO game engine and back-end service platforms. His work at Turbine involved building scalable rendering engines, content creation tools, fault-tolerant server back-ends, e-commerce and customer service systems, among others.
After the acquisition of Turbine by Warner Bros., Chris moved on to lead the development of a back-end technology platform intended for use by multiple studios across Warner Bros. He then took a year off to travel the world before joining Epic Games, where he currently works as the General Manager of Online Services, handling new opportunities the company is exploring.
Chris studied Physics and Computer Science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and has been involved with notable organizations such as Epic Games, Sabbatical, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and Turbine, where he also served as Chief Technology Officer.
