New Tecumseth Fire Rescue consists of 124 Volunteer firefighters, a full time Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief of Operations And Training and Deputy Fire Chief of Prevention and Education. The department operates 3 fire stations located within New Tecumseth, Station 1-Alliston, Station 2-Beeton and Station 3-Tottenham. The response area is 180 sq. kilometres and includes a population of approximately 34,000 residents both rural and urban.

Oversee two departments: Groundside Maintenance and Line Painting. Multiple contract management and lead GTAA employees who perform snow removal on all Toronto Pearson roads and bridges. Also manage landscape infrastructure which includes 53 hectares of turf areas, trees and shrubs.

Leading a diverse large team to deliver efficient and safe operations from runway and taxiways too various support teams.-Provide leadership, actively coach and provide feedback to foster and build a team environment to achieve operational and individual accountabilities.-Identify priorities to meet changing needs, assign resources as needed and successfully manage the real time operational aspect of Toronto Pearson airport-Build a strong relationship with all key stakeholders who include the airlines, Transport Canada, Nav Canada, contractors, GTAA leadership teams and Government agencies.-Responsible for compliance of all GTAA policies and standard operating procedures including safety and security, safety management system and incident management system practices, environmental impacts and noise management procedures.

Manager, Airfield Maintenance

Single point contact for all Airfield and Apron related issues. Primary responsibility was to oversee all planned and emergency maintenance related to Runways, Taxiways, Roadways, Terminals, and Apron stub, for both the summer and winter seasons, to meet service demand prerequisites. Took in-hand and solved issues that would impact day to day operations. Managed contractor compliance with contract terms, and departmental budgeting. Performed runway and equipment inspections as part of the safety regulatory policy, and provided runway condition reports for all inbound/outbound aircraft to insure safe departures and landings. Support event management (IMS). Assisted with the development and managed the Snow Plan of Operations as well as with fleet size determination/procurement. Overseeing and performing work place audits of all maintenance services, and addressed systemic issues that determine opportunities for ongoing improvements. Identification and development of training programs, policies and procedures, (SOPs). Continually improve operational process initiatives, to ensure that service levels are achieved. Apply professional management, empower staff, and derive at strategies that would drive performance of approx. 150 unionized workforce.
