I teach Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship on the MBA, Executive MBA, Masters in Entrepreneurship and other Executive programmes in the Business School.

in 2017, I founded the Cambridge Judge Launchpad (the Business School's entrepreneurship education programmes, now simply called the Master of Studies in Entrepreneurship).

I currently act as Internal Examiner for the Master of Studies in Sustainability Leadership, offered by the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.  I am also the External Examiner for University College London's MA in Creative and Collaborative Enterprise.

My research projects focus on strategy in ecosystems and top management teams in high-tech startups, as well as work related to Carbon13, the climate change venture builder I founded in May 2019.

AEMS is an early stage Cambridge-based startup developing the next generation AI-driven project management software, focusing on large scale engineering product development firms such as automotive and aerospace. AEMS was born in the engineering department at the University of Cambridge and is currently incubated in the Entrepreneurship Centre at the university's business school. The startup has raised pre-seed investment from Cambridge Enterprise as well as grant funding from the Royal Academy of Engineering to advance its innovative technology to market readiness.

Carbon13 (<a href="http://www.carbonthirteen.com">www.carbonthirteen.com</a>) is a venture builder, fostering commercial, scalable businesses which attack climate change through developing new business models, new value propositions and new tech which have the potential to make significant impacts (aiming for a minimum of 10 million tonnes per year) on the reduction of CO2e emissions.

We are sector agnostic.  Founders are asked to commit to building a business which will either help millions of people reduce their emissions by a modest amount, or a smaller number of major enterprises to reduce theirs by a large amount. WIDE IO was a platform for algorithm licensing.  It overfunded its seed round, on Seedrs, by 80%.  I advised founder, Bertrand Nouvel, on strategy.  It failed to progress and has been dissolved.

BaseStone is disrupting the process of construction management with its drawings management and analytics tools.  It has raised a considerable seed round.  I advise CEO, Alex Siljanovski, on Product, Sales and Pricing Strategy.  BaseStone won the best startup award at 2014's WebSummit.

I taught Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship within the UCL School of Management.

In 2015, I won the School of Management's Excellence in Teaching or "Best Lecturer" award.  I was the runner up for this award, in 2012 when the now-School was the Department of Management Science & Innovation.  In 2013, and again in 2014, I won the award for Best Lecturer on the Tech Entrepreneurship MSc.

I also research networks and innovation as a Senior Research Associate.  My current research projects are on:
- the power of metaphor to unlock better networking strategy for individuals and organisations
- the learning curve for founders with no business leadership background to become leaders
- the "open organisation" and readiness for open innovation
