He has over 22 years of experience in collegiate outdoor recreation and student affairs, having held various leadership roles, including Director of Collegiate Outdoor Recreation Programs at multiple universities.
Burnett has a strong academic background, with a Master of Science in Recreation and Leisure Studies from California State University-Sacramento and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership and Policy at The University of Texas at Austin.
