Prior to founding Astronomic, Chris built and sold a venture-backed adtech startup called Grapevine. He has also founded a non-profit startup incubator (Urban Engine) and a for-profit venture studio (The Foundry). Additionally, he co-founded and scaled an orthopedic surgery SaaS company called MyPostOpCare, which he later sold to another investor.1
Personal Journey
Chris had a difficult childhood and made some mistakes in his youth, including a violent incident in 2007 that landed him in jail for a year. This experience compelled him to confront his beliefs, change his behavior, and devote himself to deep personal work. He has been sober for 7 years and has not been violent in 17 years.2

Chris is passionate about empowering entrepreneurs and helping humankind innovate more quickly. He believes entrepreneurship is a powerful social cause that bestows important personal lessons and has a positive impact on society. Over the years, he has created numerous communities to connect people, including documentary film groups, sports leagues, startup communities, and networking events.2
