Building Robots with Chopsticks
Chong Ing Kai is an individual passionate about engineering and entrepreneurship, with a focus on solving problems creatively. During his time at School of Science and Technology, Singapore, he excelled in various engineering competitions and co-authored a paper published in the IJISRT scientific journal.
Chong Ing Kai continued his academic journey at Singapore Polytechnic, pursuing a Diploma in Engineering with Business and currently serving as the Vice-President of SP Makers Club. Alongside his studies, he volunteers at Engineering Good, focusing on creating assistive technology for disadvantaged communities.
His dedication to making education accessible led him to found Stick'Em, a startup aimed at utilizing disposable chopsticks and 3D printed connectors to enhance STEAM education globally. To further this mission, Chong Ing Kai works as a STEAM teacher at multiple local and international schools.
With a strong belief in empowering the next generation of makers, Chong Ing Kai is committed to facilitating 'aha!' moments for learners worldwide by addressing educational inequalities. His experience includes roles such as Technology Instructor at Nullspace Robotics and an internship at Infineon Technologies.
