His career began at HP Labs, where he translated ideas into tangible products for enterprise clients. During the early days of the internet, he designed process automation systems for government agencies like DARPA.

In 2005, Chip embraced Ruby on Rails and went on to spearhead the creation of various groundbreaking solutions, showcasing his expertise in cloud services, development processes, and team management.

Among his notable projects are the development of a social community network for physicians (iMedExchange), a social giving platform for charities (GiveZooks), and an advanced book retailing site for Biblegateway's large user base.

He also contributed to the creation of a medical big-data service with mobile apps (Jiff) and a platform for order processing, manufacturing, and logistics for a fashion brand (Trumaker).
