Who is Chinmay Chauhan?
Chinmay Chauhan is the co-founder and President of BukuWarung (YC S20), a company that builds bookkeeping, digital payments, and e-commerce solutions for the 60 million micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia.13 At BukuWarung, Chinmay led product and technology functions, grew the organization to 400 people, and helped raise $80M in funding.13
Prior to co-founding BukuWarung, Chinmay held several key roles:
- Director of Product at Carousell
- Product Lead at Grab, where he was one of the earliest Product Managers and witnessed the company's 10X growth2
- Software Engineer at Microsoft for an internship 12 years ago1
Chinmay has a BTech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (Bombay).12
