Cheryl Oetjen
Cheryl Oetjen is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in nursing and healthcare leadership.
With a strong educational foundation, Cheryl earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from NVCC, an MSN in Family Nurse Practitioner from George Mason University, studied Family and Child Services at Virginia Tech, and completed a Doctor of Nursing Practice focusing on Advanced Practice Nursing at Old Dominion University.
She has held various key positions in prestigious organizations, including her current role as an Associate Professor at George Mason University.
Cheryl's past roles include serving as a Nurse Practitioner at KidMed, a Nurse Leadership Advisor at the Nurse Leadership Institute, and as the Patient Care Director for Children's Hematology/Oncology at Inova Children's Hospital.
Her experience also includes leadership positions as Director of Emergency Services and Nurse Practitioner at Inova Health System, Nurse Practitioner/Practice Administrator at Olde Towne Pediatrics, Clinical Director and Nurse Practitioner at Greater Prince William Community Health Center, as well as a Director at Prince William Hospital.
