Cherie MacLeod has been working as the Marijuana Program Coordinator for over 6 years at the Consumer Protection Division of City of Seattle. With her immense experience in the field, she has ably assisted in the industry's transition from a grey market to a fully legal one. Cherie has played a vital role in building a regulatory program around Seattle's ordinance while acting as the liaison between the industry, the City, and the state. Her leadership qualities shone when she co-led the City's racial equity in cannabis licensing project, which primarily focuses on creating a collaborative team that analyzes equity programs and conducts stakeholder engagements aimed at developing meaningful, restorative responses to disproportionate cannabis criminalization in communities.

Cherie's education extends to the University of Washington and Western Washington University. She has previously worked as a License and Standards Inspector at the City of Seattle, and now she is the Strategic Advisor at City of Seattle.
