Cheri Renee

Cheri Renee is an experienced educator with a Master of Science in Teaching (MST) from Fordham University in New York City and certification from the State of South Carolina to teach English to grades 7 through 12. After more than a decade as an editor and writer in Northern California and Southern Nevada, and 3.5 years caregiving for a WWII veteran with dementia, Cheri recently returned to the education profession. She has experience teaching high school and middle grades in both urban and rural, underserved communities. Her skills range from implementing accommodations for special needs students to differentiating instruction for diverse learners.
Cheri has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English - Creative Writing from Augusta University and studied Biological and Chemical Sciences, Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Her work as an independent creative professional included acting, modeling, and event planning. Having lived in all four corners of the U.S., and traveled to 30 states and 14 countries, Cheri has a deep appreciation for the global society in which we live. She offers tolerance for different cultures and a student-centered teaching philosophy based on the Theory of Multiple Intelligences.
Currently, Cheri works as an AP Capstone and English Teacher at Aiken County Public School District, where she works closely with special needs students and implements accommodations. One of her special needs students was just recognized by the school principal for academic and behavioral accomplishments. Cheri's diverse experience and expertise make her an invaluable addition to any educational institution.
