Chepkemoi Magdaline

Chepkemoi Magdaline is a highly skilled computer scientist with a mission to leverage technology, entrepreneurship, and research to address challenges in Africa. With over 7 years of experience, she has excelled in roles such as software engineer, network management system engineer, Data Science specialist, ICT4D expert, and educator across various academic institutions.

Passionate about technology and innovation, Chepkemoi Magdaline is the Founder & Executive Director of EldoHub, a technology innovation hub in Kenya. Through EldoHub, she focuses on fostering the tech community by providing digital skills, STEM education, entrepreneurship training, digital work opportunities, youth linkages to prospects, and mentorship for tech startups.

She is dedicated to creating a conducive environment for youth to establish and expand businesses by harnessing the power of technology. Chepkemoi Magdaline firmly believes that startups and small businesses drive innovation by seeking new avenues to bring their products to the marketplace.

In terms of education, she holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in computer science with a specialization in networking and software development, achieving First Class Honors from Kabarak University. Additionally, she completed the 2018 Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. She also pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Mobile Telecommunication and Innovation, focusing on Mobile Technologies at Strathmore University and studied Applied Computer Science at The Catholic University of Eastern Africa.

Chepkemoi Magdaline has actively contributed to various organizations, serving as the Chairperson at the Association of Countrywide Innovations Hubs and as a Board Member at St Bakhita House of Hope. Among her notable past roles, she was the Founder and Executive Director of EldoHub, Co-Founder/Director of Operations at Techstarlets Kenya, Transmission Engineer-Network Management System at Telkom Kenya - Orange, and Software Development Intern at SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT NETWORKS.
