Chemi Lhamo is a versatile individual with a diverse background in activism, meditation, politics, and community-based entertainment videos.
She pursued her education at the University of Toronto, where she completed an Honours Bachelor of Science with a double major in Neuroscience and Psychology, along with a minor in Biology. Prior to this, she obtained her International Baccalaureate Diploma and OSSD at Parkdale Collegiate Institute.
Chemi has held significant roles in various organizations, including serving as the Downtown West Cluster Communications Coordinator at the City of Toronto, Community Health Lead at Parkdale People's Economy, and President and CEO at Scarborough Campus Students' Union. She also has experience as the Vice President Equity at Scarborough Campus Students' Union and has worked in diverse positions like Hostess at Mildred's Temple Kitchen and Racialized Students' Collective Coordinator at Scarborough Campus Students' Union.
Her professional journey includes roles like being a Parliamentary Intern to MP Arif Virani, Parliamentary Secretary for Multiculturalism at the Parliament of Canada, a Fellow at The Mosaic Institute, and a Board member for the Youth and Sports Coordinator at the Canadian Tibetan Association of Ontario. Furthermore, she has experience as a Parliamentary Assistant at Parliamentary Friends of Tibet and as a Sales Associate at Brandy Melville.
