Chase Marie Swinton is a junior at Stanford University, where they are studying Symbolic Systems with a focus on neuroscience. With a keen interest in synaptic plasticity, memory, and neurodegeneration, Chase aims to pursue an M.D./Ph.D. in order to diagnose and treat patients with neurological disorders. Their aspiration extends to conducting research to improve the lives of these patients. Chase holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University and graduated with honors from Sylvan Hills High School.
In terms of professional experience, Chase has been actively involved in various roles. They have served as a Teaching Assistant at Stanford University School of Medicine, a Research Assistant at the Zuchero Laboratory at Stanford University School of Medicine, and a Black Recruitment & Orientation Coordinator at Stanford University. Furthermore, Chase has worked as a Summer Research Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, a Research Assistant at the Antiño Allen Laboratory at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and a Program Intern at AR Kids Read.
