Charlie Bloch, MS, MBA, is a Principal at RMI with a focus on cross-sector collaboration and strategy in the global energy transition.

He is passionate about utilizing technology to enhance global prosperity and environmental well-being through innovative finance, partnerships, and business models.

With a diverse background encompassing sustainability expertise in utilities, clean energy, distributed energy resources, public water infrastructure, and alternative transportation, Charlie brings a wealth of experience to his current role.

His career spans various roles in consulting, corporate, governmental, and entrepreneurial sectors, enabling him to drive cross-sectoral collaboration and facilitate the market entry of groundbreaking ideas.

Before joining RMI, he offered strategic guidance to startups in the clean energy sector and spearheaded ventures in food e-commerce (Green Chef) and electric vehicles (Vision Fleet/Evercar).

He previously held positions at Navigant, National Renewable Energy Lab, MWH Global, and Enviromedia, honing his expertise in renewable energy, energy efficiency, technology commercialization, water/wastewater management, and environmental marketing.

Charlie pursued his higher education at the University of Colorado Boulder and The University of Texas at Austin, obtaining an MBA, MS, and BS, respectively.

His professional journey includes roles as Principal at Bloch Insights LLC, Chief of Staff at Green Chef, Business Development and Operations Manager at Evercar, and Associate Director in Navigant's energy practice.

He also contributed to organizations like Hygge Power, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, SunDrop Fuels, MWH Global, and Enviromedia in various capacities.
