Charley Pincombe

Charley Pincombe is the Global Head of Procurement at Optiver, based in Chicago. She joined Optiver in January 2020 to establish a dedicated procurement team in Chicago, where none existed before. Her background is quite diverse; she initially studied history at Northwestern University and began her career in the public sector, focusing on IT procurement. This experience fueled her interest in the tech industry, leading her to work in a startup and later in management consulting, where she specialized in procurement strategy.

In her current role at Optiver, Charley oversees various procurement activities, which include negotiating significant contracts and implementing processes to support the company's tech and trading teams. Her approach emphasizes fostering a culture of accountability and innovation within her team, encouraging all members to identify and solve operational challenges.12

Outside of work, Charley enjoys running and attending concerts in Chicago, reflecting her active lifestyle and engagement with the local community.1
