Charles Widdicombe

Charles Widdicombe is an accomplished Chief Financial Officer, Director, and Advisor with a wealth of experience driving growth, leading teams, and making strategic decisions. With a strong background in Mergers & Acquisitions, change management, and business development, Charles has built an impressive career across multiple industries in New Zealand, including energy, retail, and finance.

Charles started his career as an Audit Supervisor at Pricewaterhouse Coopers before moving on to KPMG New Zealand, where he held multiple roles, including Director of M&A Advisory and Associate Director of Deal Advisory. Charles also worked in finance management at Foodstuffs North Island Ltd, where he served as Retail Finance Manager for the Upper North Island.

He is a seasoned negotiator and dealmaker, passionate about structuring deals, evaluating businesses, and taking on challenging projects. Charles has been an active member of the CFA Society of New Zealand, serving as a Director for several years.

Charles is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Hiringa Energy Ltd, where he oversees the company's financial planning, analysis, and reporting, in addition to leading the finance and company secretarial team. Prior to this role, he was the Chief Financial Officer at Eco Stock Supplies Limited, where he played a critical role in the company's success.

With a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of Southampton and invaluable work experience, Charles is an exceptional leader, strategist, and project manager, committed to excellence and achieving outstanding results.
