Charles Schutt, an accomplished executive recruiter, has established himself as a highly knowledgeable and well-connected professional in the Chicago marketplace. With vast experience in the recruiting field, he has an intimate insight into the Chicagoland business landscape, which helps him to understand current and future career opportunities for his candidates and clients.

Before joining Lucas Group as the first permanent recruiter for the Chicago office in 1997, Charles spent 17 years as a Parish Priest for the Archdiocese of Chicago. Later, he spent three years as a member of the leadership team and full-time recruiter with Kuczmarski and Associates.

At Lucas Group, Charles focuses on placing top accounting and finance talent in various industries, such as manufacturing, consumer products, consumer packaged goods, and services companies. He also has experience working with private equity, investment banking, and consulting firms. During his tenure, Charles has built an extensive network of over 200 Fortune 1000 companies across Chicago and the country. Besides, he has a large candidate base of more than 1,500, spanning various industries and job types.

Charles earned his BA in Philosophy from Loyola University Chicago, his M.Divinity in Theology from St. Mary of the Lake Seminary, and his MBA in Marketing and Organizational Behavior from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Loyola University Chicago School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
