Oster started his journey to success when he and his brother were featured on the cover of "Fort Collins Business World" at just 14 years old. Oster then built a business while in college to pay tuition and helped develop one of the largest Nextel authorized dealers in the country before becoming CEO of a Medical Staffing company in Texas, which he eventually sold.

Oster's executive role at mywedding.com in 2010 was notable as the company became a global technology and digital advertising powerhouse in the wedding industry, eventually being acquired by the Meredith Corporation in 2015. While at mywedding.com, his company was recognized multiple times by Inc magazine, and he won several personal awards for his work as a highly sought-after speaker in the industry. In 2015, he joined the executive team at Leafly, a technology and content company, and led the company to be ranked #76 for the fastest-growing companies in America in 2016 on the Inc 5000 list. Oster then became Executive Vice President of Sales at Leafly's sister company, which had the world's most successful IPO on NASDAQ in 2018.

Alongside his success in the private sector, Oster has always been committed to serving his community. He was the President of the state's fastest-growing youth sports program and has been recognized by local and state officials for his contributions to the community. Oster chaired a campaign to raise $5 million for a local non-profit and founded a 501(c)3 that funded scholarships while providing essential resources to high school student athletic programs.
