Charles Keyes

Charles "Biff" Keyes (1937-2022) was a prominent anthropologist and Professor Emeritus of Anthropology and International Studies at the University of Washington.12 He joined the faculty in 1965 and worked there until his official retirement in 2006, though he continued teaching part-time until 2011.2 Keyes was a renowned scholar of Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand, and made significant contributions to the field of anthropology.4
