Charles de Casteja

Charles de Casteja is the Managing Partner of Good Energy, L.P., a national energy consulting firm with locations in New York, Dallas, Cincinnati, Connecticut, and Peoria. Specializes in energy procurement advising and consulting.

Recognized as an expert in managing large electricity and natural gas aggregations in US deregulated markets. Started developing energy buying groups in 2002, including public and private entities.

Notable achievements include the establishment of the Greater Peoria Area Buying Group in central Illinois in 2006, and creating the energy procurement division of the Middlesex Regional Energy Services Commission in New Jersey in 2008, now one of the largest public sector purchasing cooperatives in the state.

In 2009, Charles expanded operations to Ohio by partnering with chambers of commerce, leading to the formation of the largest chamber energy program in the United States with the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber.

Re-entered the Illinois market in 2011 with a focus on pooling municipalities for electricity municipal aggregation, successfully managing the three largest municipal buying groups in the state with over 600,000 households.

A decorated Marine from the Gulf War, Charles holds a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies from George Washington University. He also studied Real Estate Finance & Investment at New York University.
