• Incorporation, product-market research, seed funding process
• Designing/Implementing an asynchronous work culture for a team of 7 across 3 time zones

• Manage a team of 5 engineers (have managed 8 total ranging from junior to senior)
• Oversee planning, design, and development for all new product initiatives
• Constantly assess cost/benefit ratio when assessing new technology, solutions, and development time
• Assign features/bugfixes to team members and assist with any problems blocking progress
• Encourage engineers to take ownership of projects/features and explain the pros/cons of different approaches
• Mentor engineers on software design, development, and best practices using C/C++/Rust/JS

As Engineering lead I
• Helped take Synesthesia's Proof-of-Concept to a public Beta on OSX
• Implemented or Helped implement all major features and bugfixes
• Designed or Helped design all UI and UX
• Designed/Built a low-latency and asynchronous architecture for Synesthesia and its Audio Engine
• Designed and oversaw marketplace development

As a solo developer I
• Ported Synesthesia to Windows and made codebase cross-platform
• Designed/Built frontend and backend for all user facing services

• Designed/Built cloud service infrastructure
• Containerized our cloud workload and migrated it to Kubernetes

• Completely Redesigned and Rewrote Farespotter.net to support rapid increase in features and users.
• Introduced new architecture and technologies that were used to rewrite all user-facing applications.
• Learned best practices in OO and how to write code that adhered to the SOLID principle.
• Practiced TDD for both Ruby and Javascript using Rspec and Jasmine.
• Worked with a team of 6 engineers to refactor and modularize a large legacy codebase.
