Angel Investor

One of the largest crypto projects (12B), co-founded by Ethereum co-founder Gavin Wood, Polkadot, faced significant challenges in securing funding during the deep bear market of 2019. Many prominent Western crypto funds declined to invest due to its high valuation. In 2019, I actively assisted and contributed to Polkadot's fundraising efforts in Asia, which were led by my mentor, Ryan Zurrer. I introduced and advocated for the Polkadot team to various funds in China and across Asia, significantly raising awareness in the Asian investment community. These efforts, made during the challenging bear market, played an important role in helping Polkadot swiftly close their funding round and secure sufficient resources to navigate through the bear market successfully.

Protocol Labs is the development firm behind Filecoin, one of the largest cryptocurrency projects (20B), which had substantial miner and investor communities in China. I assisted the Filecoin team with strategizing, managing the community, operations, and developing partnerships across China and the Asia Pacific region. I also suggested the formation of a leadership team focused on China and Asia and helped assembling it. Later, in 2019, I stepped down to concentrate on my new venture.
