Service Technician
Chad Woods started his impressive career in public service at just 13 years old as a volunteer firefighter, specializing in dispatching alarms. Over the next 24 years, he garnered significant experience and qualifications in the fire service, becoming certified in various firefighting disciplines and emergency medical services. Transitioning to a full-time role, Chad worked as a 911 dispatcher, acquiring certification in Emergency Medical Dispatch. Seeking new challenges, he pursued law enforcement, graduating from the St Charles County Law Enforcement Academy in 1996 and joining the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department as a Deputy Sheriff, where he also served in the canine division. In 2003, Chad returned to dispatching at South County Fire Alarm, maintaining his emergency dispatch certifications and adding Emergency Fire Dispatch to his skill set. By 2010, Chad's responsibilities expanded to include handling computer and radio issues, leading to his promotion to Systems Administrator in 2011, overseeing network, software, hardware, and all technical aspects.
