Sean Christiansen is a highly experienced technology expert with over 15 years of research, development, and commercialization expertise. He has established strategic partnerships and created go-to-market strategies for new product introductions. Christiansen has been successful in capturing federally-funded projects, securing enabling partnerships with private industry, national laboratories, and universities. His primary fields of expertise are in material science, nanoscience, chemistry, and chemical processes.

Prior to his current role as the Research & Technology Director of New Business Development at Albemarle Corporation, Sean was the Cofounder & Director of Business Development at Garmor, Associate Director at the University of Central Florida - Office of Research & Commercialization, Business Development Manager at L3 Technologies, Senior Engineer at Teledyne Energy Systems, Inc., and Senior Research Engineer at Hydrogen Burner Technology, Inc.

He studied Chemical Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he received his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). He also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Rollins College - Crummer Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
