Ajay Krishnan is an accomplished aerospace engineering PhD student at the Georgia Institute of Technology specializing in electric propulsion, fusion, and power electronics. Prior to his current studies, Krishnan earned a MEng in space engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and a BS in electrical engineering from UC Berkeley. The accomplished scholar also boasts a remarkable academic background having completed his high school studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mathematics, and STEM, earning a 4.0 GPA in both institutions.

Krishnan has an extensive professional background having worked as a former Global Battery Systems Laboratory Validation Engineer at General Motors and a former Analog Design Engineering Intern at Texas Instruments. His previous experience also includes internships at the University of California, Berkeley, where he served as an Undergraduate Student Researcher, and further internships as an Analog Design Engineering Intern at Texas Instruments. In addition to his broad engineering expertise, Krishnan has also worked as a math and science tutor at Oregon Episcopal School and an exhibit intern at OMSI.

Krishnan is currently seeking full-time internship positions that focus on plasma physics and engineering, such as electric propulsion and fusion, in addition to power electronics. His passion and focus in these areas are evidence of his enthusiasm as a lifelong learner and engineer who is always pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology.
