Bennet Omalu

Dr. Bennet Omalu, a renowned expert in forensic science, forensic medicine, and pathology, is best known for discovering and naming Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) in football players, wrestlers, and military veterans.

His extensive background includes performing thousands of autopsies, examining numerous brains, testifying in hundreds of federal and state court cases, and serving as a sought-after expert witness in thousands of medico-legal cases ranging from personal injuries to industrial accidents.

Dr. Omalu's expertise is not only recognized in the legal realm but also sought after by governments, companies, and organizations for advice on product development, business strategies, and program management in the fields of forensic science, forensic medicine, and brain trauma.

He has also pursued additional studies in business at Carnegie Mellon University and public health at the University of Washington.

He has held prestigious positions such as Clinical Professor of Medical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of California, Davis, Medical Center, Co-Director at the Brain Injury Research Institute, and Chief Medical Examiner at San Joaquin County, California.
