Micael Nord is the current Näringslivsdirektör at Malmö stad, responsible for promoting sustainable and inclusive growth in the Malmö region. He has an extensive educational background, having studied political science at both Lund University and the University of Gothenburg and pursued further studies in Italian, English language and literature, and social determinants of health. Nord has also completed various leadership and strategic thinking programs at Handelshögskolan and SKL.

His professional experience includes serving as a board chairman at Intelligence Watch, a development director at Region Skåne, and as a sector chief and international market strategist in various municipalities and government organizations. Nord has also been a guest lecturer at Högskolan i Halmstad and served as the EU-informatör at West Sweden.

Throughout his professional career, Nord has demonstrated a passion for issues related to migration, civil society, urban planning, and business development, which has guided his work in public service.
