Jonathan Nutzati Fontaine is an accomplished Aerospace Engineer, Entrepreneur, and Futurist. He is driven by his passion for developing state-of-the-art technologies that transform science-fiction dreams into our modern reality. His educational background includes a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Nutzati's career began by designing jet engines, wind turbines, and carbon fiber aircraft. He helped pioneer the first consumer drone technology, and ultimately moved to Silicon Valley in 2014. While in Palo Alto, Nutzati designed electric motors for Tesla, including drive units for Tesla models S, X, and 3. During his time there, he became an FAA-licensed airplane pilot and lived off the grid in a solar-powered RV.

In 2016 Nutzati founded Mothership Aeronautics, where he currently serves as CEO. His company's vision is to revolutionize long-term aerial persistence with a combination of lightweight photovoltaic cells and lighter-than-air lifting. One of their current projects is developing a high-endurance autonomous solar airship to collect critical data on long-linear infrastructure.

Outside of his professional life, Nutzati enjoys flying planes, diving, whitewater rafting, and engineering projects. He is an accomplished hydroponic vegetable grower, and is currently prototyping his second growing machine. Nutzati is set to become one of the first colonists on Mars in 2030.
