Sue Collier is an accomplished healthcare leader who has dedicated her career to improving patient care and safety through collaborative partnerships with patients and families. With a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing Science and a Master's degree in Nursing Administration from East Carolina University, Collier has held executive roles with a number of prestigious healthcare organizations. As the Chief Engagement Officer of Patient Centered Innovation, Inc., she is leading the charge to transform healthcare by focusing on patient-centered care. During her tenure as Vice President of Innovation and Clinical Excellence at NC Healthcare Association, Collier worked to optimize clinical outcomes and patient experiences. At the American Hospital Association, she served as both Interim Vice President and Clinical Content Development Lead, and was a Senior Advisor on Patient and Family Engagement. In her previous roles as Performance Improvement Specialist - Patient/Family Engagement at NC Center for Hospital Quality and Patient Safety, Vice President, Corporate Office, Patient-Family Experience at Vidant Health, and Administrator and Vice President, Corporate Planning, Marketing and Strategic Development at University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina, Collier was recognized for her performance and leadership. She started as a Staff Nurse and rose to Head Nurse and Clinical Nurse Specialist at Pitt County Memorial Hospital which was a Level 1 Trauma Center. Her experience and expertise make her a valuable asset to the healthcare industry, as she continues to advance collaborative patient care worldwide.
