Taapsi Ramchandani is an accomplished applied social scientist with a unique and interdisciplinary background that spans across anthropology, economics, and international studies. With a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from Syracuse University's Maxwell School, Taapsi brings both theoretical and practical rigor to her projects, combining qualitative and quantitative data to inform real-world solutions in both the public and private sectors.
Her skill-set includes short-term and long-term ethnographic analysis, discovery research, participant observation, stakeholder interviews, and focus group interaction. As a co-founder/CEO at Poocho, she also has experience building and leading a team. With a knack for forming new relationships and maintaining old ones, Taapsi is highly interested in social contexts, be it the organizational structure of a financial corporation or a low-income neighborhood in a participatory budgeting project.
